l. a. stories

i spent a little over a week in sunny, smoggy la, where i visited my friend elliott and along with him hit as many of the local cultural and historical hot-spots as possible, and i'm still riding on a big high from this restorative vacation, so i'll be recapping my trip here over the next few days.

i have no narrative vision in mind, and i suspect that the expiration dates on my memories of the many experiences i had will vary with one another enough to make a chronological summary too risky, so i'll be attacking this in a piecemeal fashion.
