people get ready
you might've noticed that there's been a paucity of new entries around here lately.i can't chalk it all up to any one prohibitive factor, though i guess the chief stumbling block among the many i've been encountering is that i simply haven't recently thought of anything interesting to write about. it's not exactly writer's block; i don't sit here straining for an elusive spark, and generally don't set about writing something up for this blog in the first place unless it comes easily at the outset. speaking of which, another general stipulation of mine is that the prospective subject has to be one that hasn't been milked dry by other bloggers of all the things that can be said about it.
combine those two prerequisites, and you have the recipe for why my output is a little lean at times.
thing is, i really enjoy writing, and though i'm experiencing a dry spell in inspiration, i aim to kind of half-ass it in the content department and just get writing for the sake of writing. we'll see where this goes.
some potential subjects to be covered in the coming days:
-relearning the guitar / getting to know the 4-track recording system
-intense howard mandel
-"whatsa mattah? CIA gotchoo pooshing alound too many pencils?"
-robert loggia's eyebrows and minute maid orange juice
-i'm so bored with zen / buddhism is so passe (to the tune of the dandy warhols' 'not if you were the last junkie on earth')
-closely related to the previous: everyone is the same
-chronicles of elaborate saturday pig-out sessions
-new adventures in slow-smoked meats
-next generation console fever
-my favorite beer
