lazy, fatzo
i googled myself on a whim today and found a link to an archive of articles i wrote 2 years ago as the resident gourmand at the valley advocate. so, in lieu of a larger posting, i lazily offer it for anyone looking for more substantial reading (and blame for some of the cheesier titles goes to my editor, who tooled around with things when i was half-assed in naming my pieces):http://www.valleyadvocate.com/gbase/archives/index?author=oid:480
i also found something that maybe some of you red sox fans heard about at one time or another:

alas, this is a different person. i do have the same proclivity for getting bonked off the head, though (some of you know that i'm not joking and can cite a variety of incidents).
but back on the food tip real quick: ate at this new joint in amherst over the weekend called fatzo's. i wish i could find a link to the menu, but here's what i got:
ranch burger (half pound of beef, bacon, swiss, onion rings, ranch spices). ridiculous.
baked potato fries (chopped onions, ranch sauce, bacon, melted cheese over crisp fries). ridiculous.
oreo shake with a dollop of whipped cream. perfect. it was, in fact, the best shake i've ever had.

I have it.
Your first album title.
"Proclivity for Getting Bonked off the Head."
Perhaps I'll be your bass player.
we could hire the guy who was in charge of props for gallagher (he's probably looking for something to do) and have him hang out on the rafters during shows and drop goofy stuff on us from above. it'd be the most lucrative gimmick since kiss' super hero costumes.
oh man, c'mon, i was two! how could i have known?
but seriously, the only thing i remember being told about it is that dad called the nh keanes. the rest is pretty freaky. i guess i'm bound by name to hate dave stapleton.
