for introducing me to wilco's "yankee hotel foxtrot" 2 months ago or whenever it was when we hit the casino and more recently burning my own copy. really digging "heavy metal drummer" -- such a great pop song. sweet and wistful.another great thing about this band is that they've been playing with nels cline lately. he's an absolute genius on the guitar. there'll be more on him later.

I like "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot," but "Being There" is their masterpiece, and I'm also a great fan of "A Ghost Is Born." Because another surprise is that after Wilco split with their so-called "experimental" member, they went on to record their most out-there album. I'd call it Pink Floydy... except that I like it.
