i was sitting in the dentist's chair the other day in the middle of getting my teeth scraped for tartar when "piano man" came on the office's radio. i think that was probably the first time in my life that i tried to will myself into having an out-of-body experience.

Nothing like Billy Joel to make you pine for the loud whirl of the dentist's drill.
the irony's thick, but it's true. the drill would've offered deliverance from that hell.
